about the project
Occasion| „Writing history together“ – this is the motto of the European Championships in Ukraine and Poland. The two countries have written football history together for a long time. The region between the Oder and the Don has over hundred years of diverse history regarding this ball game.
Topic| The tragedies and the successes of single players paint a picture of the historical beginnings and the dramatic moments of football on and off the field. The biographies show one century of football: from the disputed first kick off to the golden era of the 1970s and 1980s, about the influence of politics and up to the recent economic transformations
Format | The portraits are published as a limited edition of cards. High quality in materials and in printing technology as well as a unique design guarantie an interesting and attracktive production and value. On the back side of every card, there is a short biography of the player. Additionally to the cards, there is a broshure of 30 pages. The broshure describes the historical context.
